It is typically described as a large, ape-like creature that is covered in fur and walks upright. The creature is said to live in the snowy, mountainous terrain and is often associated with legends and folklore of the local people. There is no scientific evidence to support the existence of the Yeti, and many scientists believe that sightings and encounters with the creature can be explained as misidentifications of known animals, such as bears.
